What is Build the Base? 
Build the Base* is a volunteer program that encourages volunteering with incentives to participate! Your time is valuable. We want to show our appreciation for your efforts and dedication. Earn points and gift cards by volunteering. The more you do, the better your chances are to WIN! For each 50 points you earn, you will receive a $25 Casey's gift card AND your name will be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing for a $300 CASH prize, to be awarded on November 13, 2022 election! wapellocountygop.nationbuilder.com/btb_tasks_points
Build the Base is designed to help you become involved in a meaningful way with the Wapello County Republican Party. We are the Grassroots Party! Our goal is to continue to GROW the Wapello County Republican Party by reaching new voters and welcoming volunteers. Grassroots involvement is how we make a difference. Wapello County volunteers can choose to participate in a variety of activities to Meet our Mission: ELECT REPUBLICANS!
Activities can include --
- Walk (or ride) in parades
- Knock on doors
- Make phone calls [Insert Button]
- Write letters to the editor
- Deliver Yard Signs
- Recruit a Volunteer
- Work at our GOP events
- Conduct precinct caucuses
- Work at Wapello County Party Headquarters
- Assist with mailings...
...and the list goes on! The point is, there are many activities to select from, based on your abilities, comfort level and available time. You can even help from your own home!
Volunteer activities are verified by candidates or WCRP leadership and tallied on a Tracking Sheet. When a Volunteer achieves 50 points, they turn in their tracking sheet at a Central Committee meeting, receive a gift card and an entry for the $300 Cash Grand Prize Drawing.
